For the past 10 years, Emmanuel Episcopal Church has played a vital role in their community garden in Rockford, putting faith into action one harvest at a time. Through a strong partnership with the Jeremiah Development Garden, and a grant from Episcopal Charities, the church has helped transform a corner of the city into a place of nourishment, connection, and care. Offers a supportive space for those experiencing loss to share, listen, and find comfort.

Gathers monthly for a shared meal, fellowship, and conversation in the local community.

Assist with reading Scripture and leading prayers during worship.

Arranges and shares altar flowers to bring beauty and care to worship and the community.

Participates in local Pride events and initiatives to support and affirm LGBTQ+ individuals in our community.

Supports the Jubilee Center, a day program providing care, community, and dignity for adults facing mental illness and housing insecurity.

Volunteers support local students through tutoring, mentoring, and community engagement.

Provides handmade scarves, hats, and other items to those in need, creating connections of care between crafters and recipients throughout the community.

Every Saturday, Emmanuel and its sixteen partners serve more than 200 hot meals and fellowship at the Jubilee Center.

Provides fellowship, hospitality, and support for parish life and outreach initiatives.

Supports young singers through scholarships and opportunities to participate in our choir.

Offers events and activities that connect creativity, spirituality, and the arts in our community.

Enriches worship through choral music, instrumentalists, and a variety of musical traditions.
