The Rockford CROP Hunger Walk is scheduled for October 18th at 1:00 PM, with registration opening at 12:00 PM at Riverfront Museum Park in Rockford, Illinois. Participants will take part in a 4-mile walk designed to raise funds and support communities in places like Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, and Haiti. Proceeds go toward providing clean water, nutritious food, educational opportunities, and sustainable agricultural tools like chickens and livestock. Those interested in joining

ShelterCare’s annual Comedy Night takes place on Thursday, October 8, 2026th at Memorial Hall in Rockford, Illinois. The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a buffet dinner provided by Pinnon's, followed by the program at 7:00 PM and performances hosted by Kevin Haas alongside three guest comedians starting at 7:15 PM. Tickets are $45 per person, with RSVPs requested by October 2nd. All proceeds support the Jubilee Center.

Following the 10:30 service Sunday, October 11, 2026 -- Sports Sunday is October 11th, date of the first Bear-Packer football game (game starts at 3:30). Join us for our tailgate party following the 10:30 service and bring your favorite snack or tailgate food to share. Beverages will be provided.
