The Shelter Care Luncheon was a meaningful and inspiring day, highlighted by guest speaker Joyce Williams and heartfelt testimonials from two of our Supportive Housing clients, who shared how Shelter Care’s programs have made a positive difference in their lives. Sunday, May 10 was the last day of Sunday school until fall. The kids have spent the last few weeks learning about the palms from Palm Sunday and how/why we use them for Ash Wednesday from Mother Gloria. With the help of Mr. Scott we burned dried palms to be used for Ash Wednesday in 2027. We finished learning about different crosses used in different denominations, by specific saints. The children then design and embellished their own cross.
