In 1976, at the 65th General Convention in Minneapolis, The Episcopal Church adopted a resolution affirming that homosexual people are children of God with a full and equal claim upon the church’s love, acceptance, and pastoral concern and care. Fifty years later, we return to Minneapolis to commemorate that milestone and reflect on the church’s ongoing journey toward LGBTQ+ inclusion. Pollinators! The whole bloomin’ garden is full of pollinators. Cucumbers and okra this week. Myriad yellow wax beans, zucchini, and yellow squash are picked quickly. Pickers welcome.

2026 Shelter Care Spring Luncheon
The Shelter Care Luncheon was a meaningful and inspiring day, highlighted by guest speaker Joyce Williams and heartfelt testimonials from two of our Supportive Housing clients, who shared how Shelter Care’s programs have made a positive difference in their lives. We were grateful to welcome 223 guests and are pleased to share that the event raised $24,447 after expenses. Sunday School Update
Sunday, May 10 was the last day of Sunday school until fall. The kids have spent the last few weeks learning about the palms from Palm Sunday and how/why we use them for Ash Wednesday from Mother Gloria. With the help of Mr. Scott we burned dried palms to be used for Ash Wednesday in 2027. We finished learning about different crosses used in different denominations, by specific saints. The children then design and embellished their own cross.
